Getting Started

๐Ÿ“ธ Scanning Food

Tap the Scanner tab and point your camera at any food item. The AI will identify it and calculate its PRAL (alkalinity) score. You can also pick food manually.

๐Ÿ“Š Reading Your Score

Negative PRAL scores are alkaline (good for balance), positive scores are acidic. Aim for a daily score below โ€“10 for optimal alkaline balance.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Meal Planner

The Meal Planner tab generates a weekly alkaline meal plan tailored to your preferences and region.

โค๏ธ Apple Health Integration

PH Plate can read your weight and body metrics from Apple Health. Go to Settings โ†’ Body Metrics and grant access.

๐Ÿ”” Notifications

Enable meal and water reminders in Settings โ†’ Notifications. You can customize reminder times.

โ“ Is my data backed up?

Your data is stored locally and backed up via iCloud if iCloud Backup is enabled. We do not operate external servers.

โ“ How do I reset the app?

Go to Settings โ†’ scroll to bottom โ†’ tap "Reset Profile". This erases all meal history.

โ“ What is PRAL?

PRAL (Potential Renal Acid Load) measures how acidic or alkaline a food is when metabolized. Lower (negative) PRAL = more alkaline.
